There is a popular theory in the fields of psychology and neuroscience that says our brain’s areas of self-awareness are like, three different levels. The levels are in the brain, in a place that seems to be in direct physical contact with the body.

To really understand this area, you need to imagine the following: You are on a boat.

When you’re on the boat, the people on the other side of the boat, the boat people, are all trying to be very calm. They want the boat to be calm, but they also want to be very angry. They want the boat to be in a calm state of mind, but they also want to be very annoyed.

This is known as the “medial prefrontal cortex”, or MFC. It is the brain area responsible for controlling and moderating our moods. By doing this, we are able to control our emotions and reactions and get past our anger and frustrations towards our current situation.

A person with high levels of the medial prefrontal cortex might be able to control their emotions, but this would also be the opposite of what the MFC is supposed to be doing. We are trying to be angry or frustrated, but in actuality we are actually trying to control our emotions and react accordingly. It’s a bit like when you hold your hand over your eyes, trying to get rid of the tears, but instead you are actually controlling your tears and trying to keep them out.
